Syracuse men and women looking for eighth and ninth regional titles combined in the last six seasons
The Syracuse Cross Country teams will attempt to win their eighth and ninth NCAA Regional Titles between the two teams in six years on Friday in the Bronx, N.Y.
Ranking the Orange
- The Syracuse men are ranked the highest they've ever been in the history of the USTFCCCA poll at No. 3.
- 'Cuse sits just one point behind No. 2 Oregon.
- The Orange women are ranked 22nd.
ACC Champs
- The Syracuse men won their second-straight ACC Championship, third-straight conference title and fifth conference championship in the last-six seasons in their last meet.
- Martin Hehir won the individual crown for the Orange with Max Straneva also medaling in third place. Freshman Justyn Knight was the first rookie across the line in the meet as well.
- The 'Cuse women took eighth, with Margo Malone medaling at third overall for the team.
Nationals Await
- The NCAA Northeast Regional is just eight days before next Saturday's NCAA Championships, marking the tightest turnaround for the Orange this season.
The action is slated to get underway at Noon.
