Orange Rolls to 77-61 win over Jacksonville

Butler's 16 points lead all scorers
After leading by one at half in the season opener against Fordham and again at Duquesne on Wednesday, the Orange wasted no time in breaking the game open, taking a 22-point lead into the locker room against Jacksonville on Saturday.
The Orange continued the pressure into the second half, leading by 32 at one point, en route to a 77-61 win to move to 3-0 on the season.
Brianna Butler led the way for the Orange with 16 points, including shooting 4-of-6 from behind the arc.
The Orange made 11 3-pointers in the game with Diamond Henderson netting three of her own.
After Jacksonville took a two-point lead, Syracuse strung together a 15-0 run led primarily by Henderson who had eight-straight points in the stretch, to give Syracuse a 26-13 lead.
'Cuse continued to pour it on for the last stretch of the half, outscoring the Dolphins 32-8 in the final 11 minutes of the first half to give it the lead for good.
Alexis Peterson was the primary facilitator of the offense, dishing out seven assists.
The Orange will next head to the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas, taking on East Carolina in the opening game at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
