
Women's Rowing Ends Fall Season

Take on Cornell and Buffalo in final races of the fall
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's rowing team concluded its fall season on Saturday morning with a set of races against Cornell and Buffalo at the James A. Ten Eyck Memorial Boathouse. In the races that all three schools competed in, Syracuse placed first in each race.

Syracuse defeated Cornell and Buffalo in the first varsity eight competition, covering the course in 15:53.6. Senior Katherine Isaza served as the boat's coxswain, while the rest of the boat was comprised of sophomore Emily Carey (stroke), junior Kari Tomeny (7), senior Georgia Hamilton (6), junior Deirdre Fitzpatrick (5), freshman Julia Vander Hoeven (4), senior Chelsea Frawley (3), senior Caroline Habjan (2), and senior Amy Ludovici (bow).

The Orange took the second varsity eight race with a time of 16:24.6. The squad came out victorious in the third and final varsity eight, as well. Syracuse recorded a time of 17:32.3 in the final race featuring the eights.

In the varsity fours competition, Syracuse sent out three boats. The team's first two boats finished first and second, respectively. The first varsity four boat clocked in at 18:26.8, while the second boat finished in 18:46.6.
