
20 Rowers Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Twenty Syracuse student-athletes were selected to the All-ACC Academic Team for women's rowing, concluding an impressive year for the Orange that saw the program post their best finish in school history at the NCAA Championships last month.
Aicha Abdelaziz (information management and technology), Abigail Berner (television, radio and film), Kelsey Boswell (magazine, news and digital journalism), Katie Breeze (health and exercise science), Ella Campbell (television, radio and film), Acorn Cassidy (applied mathematics and physics), Hannah Fagioli (forensic science and psychology), Raina Hartman (English and textual studies), Georgia Kaufman (economics), Issy Kelland (mathematics), Clothide Marcelot (environmental and interior design), Annabelle McCulloch (biology), Dinah Pastoor (psychology), Antonia Pochott (health and exercise science), Hallie Rehl (management), Isabelle Sareen (advanced media management), Bailey Scott (applied mathematics), Dana Shearer (television, radio and film), Chloe Van de Meulebroecke (civil engineering) and Sarah Walsh (health and exercise science) were all honored by the league.
Boswell, Fagioli, Kaufman, McCulloch, Sareen, Shearer and Can de Meulebroecke earned their third career selection to the team, while Abdelaziz, Berner, Breeze, Cassidy, Kelland, Marcelot and Pichott are two-time honorees.
In order to be considered for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athletes must be an undergraduate, have been enrolled at the institution for one year, maintain a cumulative GPA over 3.0, have above a 3.0 in each of the last-two semesters, and meet the league's competition requirement for consideration. Student-athletes who have earned their undergraduate degree and were pursuing a master's degree this season are eligible for the ACC's graduate scholar-athlete award, which will be announced in July. The ACC honor roll, which honors student-athletes for academic success regardless of on-field competition, will also be announced in July.
