The freshman posted a hat trick in Saturday's 4-2 win over RIT

After her hat trick in Saturday's 4-2 win over RIT, freshman Alysha Burriss has been named CHA Player of the Week.

Burriss scored a power play goal that evened the scoring at one in the middle of the first period for the Orange and then gave 'Cuse the lead early in the third. She chipped in an empty netter to seal the win late in the period as well.

The freshman also added an assist in Tuesday's loss to Cornell.

She finished the week with four points on three goals and one assist with a plus-one rating and seven shots in Syracuse's two games this week.

Sibley is the fourth member of the Orange to earn the league's weekly honors this season after Stephanie Grossi earned Player of the Week (11/17) and Rookie of the Week twice (11/3, 12/1), Jessica Sibley earned Player of the Week (11/20) and Jenn Gilligan earned Goaltender of the Week (11/10).

Syracuse next returns to action on Jan. 6, 2015 when the team travels to Colgate.
