SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 1/2 Syracusegoes for its eighth consecutive victory when it travels to Ithaca, N.Y. to face Cornell on Tuesday, April 15 at 7 p.m.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (13-1)
1. Syracuse takes the field for the first time as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation on Tuesday. The coaches have voted the Orange to the top of their poll, marking the first time Syracuse has been ranked No. 1 in a national poll during the regular season.
2. Syracuse is ranked in the top 10 in the nation in five statistical categories this week. SU is second in scoring offense, third in points and win percentage, fifth in scoring margin and seventh in draw controls.
3. The Orange defense has held its opponents to less than 10 goals in nine of 14 games this season.
What to Watch For – Cornell (6-6)
1. Cornell is coming off an 11-10 overtime victory at Brown on Saturday. The Big Red is now 6-6 overall this season.
2. Lindsay Toppe leads a balanced offensive attack for Cornell. She's recorded a team-high 47 points and 37 goals. Emily Tripodi is the team's leader in assists with 21. Overall, five players have posted 20 or more points this season for Cornell. Renee Poullott and Carly Gniewek have shared time in goal this season for the Big Red. Poullott has a 9.54 goal-against average a .423 save percentage, while Gniewek has a 10.83 GAA and a .463 save percentage.
3. Head coach Jenny Graap is in her 17th year at the helm of the Cornell program. She has guided the Big Red to a record of 156-105.
THE SERIES
Tuesday's game will be the 18th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Orange holds a 12-5 advantage in the series, however, the Big Red has won five of the nine games played in Ithaca.
