Orange Returns Home to Host Pittsburgh Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After playing seven consecutive matches on the road, Syracuse returns to the SU Soccer Stadium to host Pittsburgh at noon on Sunday, Sept. 28. Admission is free of charge.

Fans are encouraged to stick around after the game for a carnival that will be set up outside J.S. Coyne Stadium. The carnival will feature games, raffle drawings, a bounce house and much more. The Orange field hockey squad hosts Hofstra at 3 p.m.

SKILTON LEADS ORANGE BY MIAMI
Sophomore Stephanie Skilton scored in the 60th minute to give Syracuse a 1-0 win on Thursday against Miami. The win improved SU's record to 4-4-3 and evened its ACC record at 1-1. Skilton now has 16 career goals, which put her in a three-way tie for sixth place on Syracuse's all-time leader list with Jaime Mingoia (1996-00) and Trisha Burch (1997-00).

SCOUTING PITTSBURGH
The Panthers enter Sunday's match with a record of 4-6-0 and a 0-2-0 mark in ACC play. Pittsburgh will try to snap a four-game losing streak, which includes a 3-1 loss to Boston College on Thursday. Roosa Arvas leads the Panthers' offense with 11 points on five goals and an assist. Taylor Francis has started all nine matches in goal and leads the ACC in saves with 50.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with Pittsburgh, 10-3-3. In last season's meeting, Skilton tied the single-game school record with three goals to lead the Orange to a 4-0 victory.
