Cuse TV: Women's Basketball Underway

Women's basketball began practice this week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 2015-16 Syracuse University women's basketball team opened practice this week at the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center. Syracuse will open its season on Friday, Nov. 13 at Rhode Island.
The Orange is poised for a great year heading into the 2015-16 campaign. Syracuse returns all five starters from last season, including All-Atlantic Coast Conference honoree Alexis Peterson and the NCAA's active career 3-point field goals leader Brianna Butler.
Cuse TV caught up with Peterson and freshman forward Julia Chandler after practice. Peterson led the team in scoring last season and was also named to the ACC All-Defensive Team. Chandler arrives to campus after extensive experience with the Canadian national team program.
The men's and women's basketball teams will appear for the first time on the court of the Carrier Dome at Orange Madness on Friday, Oct. 16. The event is slated to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the general public are $5 and are currently on sale. They can be purchased online at Cuse.com or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office.
