Syracuse ranked in the top 25 of both major national polls

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team has continued its ascension up the major national polls. Syracuse was ranked No. 20 nationally in the latest release of the AP Poll and No. 25 in the country in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Following its two victories at the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, Syracuse continued its rise in the rankings. The Orange moved up three spots in the AP Poll from last week and cracked the top 25 of the coaches' rankings for the first time in 2015-16.

Syracuse will play a nationally-ranked foe for the second time this season when it takes on No. 5/5 Maryland in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday night. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Md. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
