13th straight week in the top 25 of both major national polls
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team appeared in the top 25 of the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls for the 13th week in-a-row. Syracuse ranks No. 25 in the nation in the most recent releases of the AP and coaches' rankings.

The Orange suffered two losses this past week to two top-10 opponents on the road. Syracuse led at halftime at No. 8/8 Louisville before losing 78-58 on Jan. 29. The club was down by as little as three points with 11 minutes remaining at No. 9/9 Florida State on Feb. 2, but ultimately lost 62-52.

For the third consecutive game, Syracuse will take on a nationally-ranked opponent when it hosts No. 13/11 North Carolina on Thursday night in the Carrier Dome. The contest will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and ESPN3. In addition, Thursday's game is National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
