Elmore and Kebbe Nominated for McDonald's All-America

Part of the No. 25 signing class in the country
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Guards Desiree Elmore and Alisha Kebbe, who will join the Syracuse University women's basketball program for the 2016-17 season, were named nominees for the McDonald's All-America Game, as announced on Jan. 5. Syracuse's last two McDonald's All-Americans were guards Brianna Butler and Brittney Sykes.

Elmore, a 5-9 guard from Capital Prep in Hartford, Conn., is a five-star recruit, according to espnW HoopGurlz. She is the Orange's first espnW five-star signee since Butler and Sykes joined the program. Elmore and her Capital Prep squad have won three consecutive Class L state titles.

Kebbe, a 5-10 guard from Neumann-Goretti High Scool in Philadelphia, is a three-star recruit according to espnW HoopGurlz. She was ranked the No. 25 guard in her class by espnW Hoopgurlz, as well. Kebbe and her Neumann-Goretti team currently rank No. 5 in the country in the latest release of the USA Today Sports Super 25 Expert Rankings.

Joining Elmore and Kebbe are guards Gabrielle Cooper and Kiara Smith. Together, the four represent the No. 25 signing class in the country, according to the Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.
