
Women's Hoops to Play in 2017 Paradise Jam

Syracuse won the 2013 Paradise Jam Reef Division title
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Syracuse women's basketball team will participate in the 2017 Paradise Jam, Basketball Travelers, Inc. announced on Nov. 9. It marks the second time in five seasons that Syracuse will play in the annual event.
The Orange will join Butler, Drexel, George Washington, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin at the 2017 Paradise Jam. The tournament will be held at the University of the Virgin Islands from Thursday, Nov. 23 through Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, featuring two four-team divisions competing in round-robin play for separate championship titles.
In 2013, Syracuse won the Paradise Jam Reef Division title, defeating Texas, Memphis, and No. 12/11 Texas A&M. Brianna Butler averaged 23.3 points per game in the tournament, claiming Paradise Jam MVP accolades.

The Orange are back in action on Friday night on the road at Stony Brook. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at IFCU Arena in Stony Brook, N.Y.
