The No. 2 Syracuse field hockey team (14-3) earned the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament during Sunday night's selection show and will host No. 16 Harvard in the first round on Saturday.
Saturday's game between the Orange and Crimson is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., while No. 11 Boston College and No. 4 UConn will square off in the other first round matchup in Syracuse at 2p.m. The winners of those contests will play on Sunday at 2 p.m. for a trip to the final four.
"I'm really excited to be at home," said head coach Ange Bradley. "I think it shows the body of work that we put together in the regular season and I'm thankful that we were rewarded for it."
'Cuse earned one of the top-four national seeds for the fourth-consecutive year and is seeking its third-straight appearance in the NCAA championship game after bringing home the program's first NCAA title in 2015.
"We were just talking about how the expectations have changed," Bradley said. "From hoping we get into the NCAA Tournament to now we really want to push to be a top four seed and get to host. I think that shows the growth of our program and how we've been a high performance program over the last few years.:
Tickets for each day will be available at the door for $6 for adults and $3 for youth (18 and under) and Syracuse University students with ID.
