Pagano and Malone win National Club Championship

After their performances at the USATF Club National Championship, a pair of Syracuse cross country alums qualified to represent the United States in the World Championships.
Sarah Pagano placed second overall to lead Boston Athletic Association to its third-straight National Championship, with Orange and BAA teammate Margo Malone taking 36th overall in her first season with the squad to help win the title.

Pagano crossed the line in 19:36 in the 6k race, five seconds behind winner Colleen Quigley. Malone finished in 21:05.
Martin Hehir, racing in his first season with Hoka One One NAZ Elite was the team's top finisher, taking sixth overall, to lead his squad to a second-place finish. Also in the field was Griff Graves of Asheville Running Collective, who finished 131st.
Hehir cleared the 10k course in 29:18, while Graves finished in 32:20.
Due to their finishes, Hehir and Pagno will represent the United States at the Great Edinburgh XC International Challenge on January 7 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Pagano also participated in 2015, taking 19th overall and third amongst U.S. competitors.
