
Michael Guides Squad to Semifinals in Poland

Michael ranked eighth in the league in blocks
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse University women's basketball player Nicole Michael recently completed the 2015-16 season with MKS Polkowice in the Polish Basketball League. Michael helped her team to a fourth-place showing in the league.
The Queens, N.Y. native guided MKS Polkowice to the league semifinals. Michael averaged 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest in the quarterfinals against Basket Gdynia. The squad then lost in a best-of-five series to eventual runner-up Artego Bydgoszcz, who is led by former Orange guard Julie McBride.
In 29 games played, Michael led her team in scoring (12.1 points per game), steals (1.6 steals per contest), and blocked shots (1.1 blocks per game). She ranked eighth in the Polish Basketball League in blocks, as well.
Michael ranks second in Syracuse history with 1,787 career points scored. The 2010 Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention holds the school record for career rebounds, pulling down 996 boards during her time on campus.
