Cuse TV: Four-Legged Friends Take Over Dome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - A whole new demographic of Orange fans were welcomed to the Carrier Dome on Sunday as the Syracuse women's basketball team hosted its first-ever Doggy Dome Day. The event was a success as 1,614 human fans turned out for the game, the Orange's second-largest attendance of the season, as well as 178 dogs of all shapes and sizes.
A number of pet-themed exhibitors, highlighted by Sit Means Sit Syracuse, were set up in the backcourt Fun Zone area, in addition to special doggy treat and water stations set up at the Dome concession stands. CNY Central's Wayne Mahar and Niko Tamurian were on hand supporting dog-related causes and organizations, including the annual K-9 Carnival.

Syracuse will host No. 23 NC State on Thursday night at the Carrier Dome. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra, as well.
