Pagano Qualifies for World XC Championships

Syracuse alum Sarah Pagano finished fifth at the U.S. Cross Country Championships on Saturday, qualifying to represent America at the World Cross Country Championships in Uganda.
Pagano, who now races for the Boston Athletic Association, finished the 10k course in 35:44, 1:20 behind winner Aliphine Tuliamuk.
In addition to Pagano's performance, a trio of men's alumni competed in the event in Bend, Oregon as well, with Martin Hehir taking 11th to lead the way. Hehir, who competes for Hoka One One Northern Arizona Elite, crossed the line in 31:18.
Behind Hehir, Robert Molke placed 43rd in a time of 33:05 and Andrew Bennison took 66th in 36:04
