ATLANTA – The Syracuse women's basketball team is ranked No. 22 in the country in the final USA Today Coaches Poll of the 2016-17 season, as announced on Monday afternoon. It marks the second straight season that Syracuse has been ranked in the top 25 of the final coaches' poll.
The Orange have appeared in the top 25 of the coaches' rankings in each of the past 28 poll releases, extending their longest streak in program history.
Syracuse advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year, one of 15 programs nationally to do so. The Orange notched 20 victories for the eighth straight season, as well.
The program's second-winningest class departs, but the future remains bright.
