SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Center Kayla Alexander '13 and guards Alexis Peterson and Brittney Sykes, the top three scorers in the history of the Syracuse women's basketball program, are all back in action as the 2017 WNBA season is underway.
Here is the latest update of how the three former Orange are faring:
Kayla Alexander, San Antonio Stars
- Currently averaging 5.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game in five contests played
- Recorded a career-high 14 points, five rebounds, an assist, one steal, and blocked shot against Minnesota on May 28
- Tallied four points, a rebound, and two blocked shots against Dallas on May 25
Alexis Peterson, Seattle Storm
- Tallying 2.3 points, 0.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per contest in four games played
- Secured five points on a perfect 2-for-2 shooting from the field in a win against Indiana on May 28
Brittney Sykes, Atlanta Dream
- Averaging 2.5 points, 0.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists per game in four contests played
- Knocked down a free throw in the win against Los Angeles on May 27
