Sykes scored a career-high 18 points in her last outing
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Center Kayla Alexander '13 and guards Alexis Peterson and Brittney Sykes, the top three scorers in the history of the Syracuse women's basketball program, are all in action as the 2017 WNBA season is underway.
Here is the latest update of how the three former Orange are faring:
Kayla Alexander, San Antonio Stars
- Currently averaging 6.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game in 14 contests played
- Secured 10 points, four boards, one steal, and two blocks at Minnesota on June 25
- Pulled down three rebounds and blocked one shot against Dallas on June 23
- Recorded two points and a steal at Dallas on June 21
Alexis Peterson, Seattle Storm
- Tallying 2.1 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.2 steals per contest in seven games played
- In a career-best 16 minutes, notched four points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals at Washington on June 27
Brittney Sykes, Atlanta Dream
- Averaging 6.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.3 blocked shots per game in 11 contests played
- Ranks third among rookies in scoring
- Posted a personal-high 18 points and nine rebounds against Chicago on June 23
