Orange's Road Trip Starts Thursday at No. 9 Loyola

BALTIMORE, Md. -- No. 14/18 Syracuse kicks off a two-game road trip on Thursday, April 5 at No. 9/6 Loyola at 4 p.m. It will be the Orange's sixth road contest in its last seven games.

ORANGE COMING IN
Syracuse is coming off a 17-10 loss to Duke on Saturday in the Carrier Dome, which dropped the Orange's record to 7-5. Sophomore Emily Hawryschuk scored twice and continues to lead Syracuse IN points (37). She has now scored multiple goals in nine games this season.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
After playing five straight road games, the Orange returned to the Carrier Dome for a brief one-game homestand against the Blue Devils. Syracuse has five games remaining during the regular season, three of which will be played on the road. The Orange are 4-3 away from the Carrier Dome this season, which includes two victories in neutral site games.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Loyola lost their first two games of the season against Johns Hopkins and Florida, but have gone 8-0 since. Notable non-conference wins came against No. 13 Penn State, No. 10 Towson, No. 14 Princeton and No. 8 Virginia. The team is coming off of an 18-11 win over Boston University.

Junior Hannah Powers leads Loyola in the points category with 41 (22g, 19a). She scored her 100th career goal in the game against BU, becoming the 12th Greyhound to reach 100 goals before the start of her senior season. Junior goalkeeper Kady Glynn posts an 11.41 goals against average and a .476 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 19th meeting between the two teams. Last year the Orange came out with the 16-11 win over the Greyhounds in Baltimore. Syracuse now leads the series, 6-2. In last year's match up, Alie Jimerson, Riley Donahue and Emily Hawryschuk scored three goals apiece. Mary Rahal added two goals and five other Orange players each added one goal.

UP NEXT…
The Orange will return to ACC play on Saturday in  a 3:30 p.m. game against No. 17/14 Virginia Tech. The game will be played in Blacksburg, VA and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
