Both Squads Hold Preseason Ranking Heading Into Boston

The Syracuse men's and women's cross country teams will remain in the spots they started the preseason, heading into the biggest meet of their season thus far.

The men check in at No. 10, while the women sit at No. 22, ahead of Friday's Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown. The men will be 1-of-5 ranked teams to compete at the meet, while the women will be 1-of-4.

Northern Arizona and New Mexico remained the top-ranked men and women's programs, respectively. The 'Cuse men are the top-ranked ACC squad, while the Orange women are the second-ranked women's ACC program, behind No. 6 NC State.

Of the teams running this weekend in Boston, the Orange men's team is ranked top-ranked competitor at No. 10. Campbell trails behind sitting at the No. 12 spot followed by Virginia (17), Washington (26) and Ole Miss (30). For the women, Providence leads in the No. 11 position, with Minnesota (24) and Dartmouth (27) coming in closely behind the Orange (22).

Action gets underway at 4 p.m. on Friday.
