
Orange Remain No. 12 in AP Top 25

Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse (14-2) maintained its No. 12 ranking in the AP Top 25 despite extending its win streak to eight with a commanding 90-77 victory over North Carolina on Sunday. The Orange remain unbeaten in the Carrier Dome (6-0) and in league play (3-0).
Syracuse had a historic day against North Carolina on Sunday. Tiana Mangakahia had the fourth triple double and the first in points, assists and rebounds with 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against the Tar Heels. She also posted game-highs in points and assists and led the team in rebounds. Her 10 assists moved her to 10th all-time on the career assists list at Syracuse with 432.
With 12 three-pointers in the first half, Syracuse set a program record for threes in a half surpassing the previous mark by one.
Syracuse sets off on a two-game road trip starting with Pittsburgh in the Steel City on Jan. 17, followed by a trip to Georgia Tech on Sunday.
