Syracuse, N.Y – Syracuse jumped three spots to No. 17 in the latest Associated Press (AP) Top-25 Poll after a pair of wins at home last week. Syracuse defeated Maryland Eastern Shore, 65-50, and in-state foe Albany, 75-53, on the Orange's home court to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The undefeated Orange will meet the No. 1 Oregon Ducks on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Dome. It marks the first time Syracuse hosts the top-ranked team since 2010 when the Orange welcomed then-BIG EAST foe UConn to the Carrier Dome. Syracuse is 0-6 all-time in home games against the nation's top team.
Emily Engstler is coming off back-to-back double doubles while Kiara Lewis scored a season-high 17 points in 'Cuse's game versus Albany last Saturday. Senior Gabrielle Cooper chipped in 10 points in her 100th career start for the Orange.
Syracuse and the Ducks will meet in the Dome on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. Tickets start at $10 and are on sale now. It will be the first Syracuse women's basketball game broadcast live on the ACC Network. To find out if your television provider carries ACCN, visit GetACCN.com.
