Stripe Out Sunday
11/19/2019 5:19:00 PM | Women's Basketball
The Orange are hosting the No. 1 team in the country for the first time in nearly a decade Sunday when the 17th-ranked Syracuse women's basketball team host top-ranked Oregon (3-0) at 4 p.m. There will be 5,000 pom-poms laid out for fans to 'stripe out' the Dome.
Fans are encouraged to wear orange or white and sit in a marked section that matches their color of choice. Orange and white pom-poms will be placed on seats according to the stripe map. The backcourt will be open filled with family friendly games for fans of all ages to enjoy. All Otto's Kids Club members get in free with their credential.
Sunday is the second meeting in program history for the two teams. Last season, Syracuse took the Ducks to the wire in Eugene on Nov. 10, 2018. Then-ranked No. 18 'Cuse led by six with under three minutes to play but the 3rd-ranked Ducks took back the lead and held on for a 75-73 win.
After a run to the Final Four last season, Oregon debuted at No. 1 in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 Preseason Poll. The Orange began the season ranked No. 21 and moved up each of the last two weeks.
Tickets start at $10 and are on sale now. It will be the first Syracuse women's basketball game broadcast live on the ACC Network. To find out if your television provider carries ACCN, visit GetACCN.com.
