SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's basketball team (19-6, 8-4 ACC) checked in at No. 18 in this week's Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Poll. The Orange finished the week 1-1, including a 20-point win at home over Wake Forest on Sunday.
Syracuse came up just short in the Carrier Dome on Wednesday when now ninth-ranked North Carolina State handed 'Cuse a 77-73 loss. The Orange regrouped over the weekend and took down Wake Forest 77-57 on Senior Night, thanks in part to a team-leading 17 points and five three-pointers from senior Miranda Drummond. Syracuse racked up six blocks, eight steals, and held the Demon Deacons to just over 35 percent shooting from the field.
Syracuse's continues its five-game home stand Thursday night when Pittsburgh comes to town. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on ACC Digital Network, and tickets are available online.
