SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 8/7 Syracuse faces its second top five team this season when it hosts No. 4/5 Northwestern on Sunday, Feb. 24. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Admission and parking are free.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse improved its record to 3-1 after an 18-5 win against Coastal Carolina on Monday. The offense was able to get going quickly as the Orange led 13-2 lead at the half. In the win, 12 different players scored at least one goal. Freshman Meaghan Tyrrell and redshirt junior Morgan Alexander led the Orange with three goals each. Tyrrell also had an assist. Senior Nicole Levy and junior Emily Hawryschuk recorded two assists each.

The Orange led in every statistical category and tied their season high with 18 goals. Syracuse is averaging 15.75 goals per game this season.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Northwestern is coming off a 21-20 victory against No. 24 Duke. The Wildcats went on a 3-0 run at the end of the game to secure the win. Northwestern's record is now 3-0, which includes two wins over top 25 teams. Northwestern scored 21 goals in all three wins.

Leading the Wildcats offense is sophomore Lauren Gilbert. She has 12 goals and 13 points on the season. Junior Lindsey McKone leads the team in assists with five. In goal for the Wildcats is redshirt sophomore Julie Krupnick, who has a goals-against average of 14.77 and a .406 save percentage.

Kelly Amonte Hiller is in her 14th season at the helm of the Northwestern program. A five-time IWLCA National Coach of the Year, Amonte Hiller guided the Wildcats to seven national championships in a 10-year span.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday marks the 18th meeting between the Orange and the Wildcats. Northwestern leads the all-time series, 13-4. The two teams met last season in Evanston where Northwestern pulled out a 14-10 victory. Nicole Levy led Syracuse with four goals in the setback.

The Orange have another quick turnaround as they face Loyola on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
