CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Syracuse will face its third consecutive ranked opponent when it travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. to face No. 5/5 North Carolina. Tip off in the Dean E. Smith Center is set for 9 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (18-9, 9-5) is coming off a 75-65 loss to then No. 1 Duke on Saturday in front of an NCAA on-campus record crowd of 35,642. The game featured seven lead changes and five ties. The Orange led by five, 34-29, at halftime, but the Blue Devils rallied in the second half for the victory.

Four Syracuse players reached double figures in scoring. Junior Tyus Battle led the way with 16 points, while redshirt junior Elijah Hughes had 12 points. Senior Frank Howard and sophomore Marek Dolezaj added 10 points each.

ROAD WARRIORS
The Orange finish the regular season by playing three of their final four games on the road. After taking on the Tar Heels on their home court, Syracuse travels back to North Carolina to face Wake Forest on Saturday. The Orange host Virginia in their final home game of the season on Monday, Mar. 4 before ending the regular season at Clemson on Mar. 9.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina defeated Florida State, 77-59, on Saturday for its third consecutive victory, improving its record to 22-5. The Tar Heels are in a three-way to tie for first place in the ACC standings with a 12-2 league record.

Graduate student transfer Cameron Johnson leads the highest-scoring offense in the ACC. Johnson, who leads the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.473) is scoring 16.7 points per game, while Coby White adds 15.2 and Luke Maye contributes 15.1 points per contest. Maye ranks second in the ACC in rebounding, pulling down 9.9 per game.

Roy Williams is in his 16th season at the helm of the North Carolina program. A 2007 inductee in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Smith has guided the Tar Heels to three national championships.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and North Carolina have meet 15 times on the hardwood with Tar Heels winning 11 of those contests. The Tar Heels have won the last seven meetings between the schools, including last year's ACC Tournament second-round match up.
