Drummond, Strautmane Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Miranda Drummond and Digna Strautmane are two of 29 Atlantic Coast Conference players to earn a spot on the 2019 All-ACC Academic Women's Basketball Team.

Drummond has been a star shooter for the No. 18/16 Syracuse team this season, leading 'Cuse with 80 threes and shooting 38.8% from behind the arc. Her 3-point field goal percentage ranks third in the ACC. The senior health and exercise science major is averaging 11.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Strautmane played a key role in the Orange's first ACC tournament win on Thursday versus Virginia, contributing a team-high 14 points and five rebounds. The sophomore public health major ranks third on the team with 9.6 points per game.

Fourteen of the fifteen ACC women's basketball programs are represented on the All-ACC Academic Team, led by Louisville with four players.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
