
Women’s Basketball Hosts Professional Women of Syracuse Night Thursday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - In an effort to support the ever-changing sports industry, the Orange women's basketball team and the Women in Sports and Events (WISE) group of Syracuse University are teaming up to host Professional Women of Syracuse Night on Thursday, Jan. 30. Five guests who currently work and teach in the sports industry will be part of a panel in Club 44 at the Dome from 6:45-7:30 p.m.
The panel includes Genevieve Birren, Associate Professor in Sport Management at SUNY Cortland, Jen Albanese, Director of Marketing at Syracuse Athletics, Katie Berger, the Director of Business Operations & Merchandise with the Syracuse Mets and the Syracuse Crunch's Megan Cahill (Director of Public Relations & Digital Media) and Andrea Marino (Director of Corporate Partnerships).
The five panelists will discuss the challenges and rewards of working in sports and the career paths each of them have taken to get where they are today. Food and beverages will be provided at the panel.
