SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 4/4 Syracuse hosts New York state foe, UAlbany, on Saturday, Feb. 15. Opening draw is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Carrier Dome. Admission and parking are free.

The Orange are celebrating Military and First Responders Day at the Dome on Saturday. Syracuse will honor a Hometown Hero in the first half.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse looks to get back to its winning ways after a setback against No. 12/10 Stony Brook on Monday night. The 17-16 loss brought the Orange's record to 1-1.

In the game senior Emily Hawryschuk had six goals and seven points. She leads the team and the country in goals with 13. Sophomore Megan Carney leads the Orange in assists with seven, which is tied for fourth in the ACC. Senior goalkeeper Asa Goldstock had 10 saves in the game and took over sole possession of second place on Syracuse's all-time leader list with 485.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany is opening its 2020 season on Saturday against the Orange. Last year the Great Danes finished with an 11-7 record, including a 3-6 record on the road.

UAlbany is returning its top four scorers from last season, all of which finished with 55 or more points. Senior Sam Tortora led the team in points and assists with 63 and 41, respectively. Junior Kyla Zapolski led the team in goals with 46. Senior Madison Conway and junior Kendra Harbinger were the other two players with 55 or more points. Conway had 59 points on 41 goals and 18 assists and Harbinger had 55 points on 36 goals and 19 assists.

Georgia Schneidereith is the returning goalkeeper for UAlbany. In 18 starts last season, she had a .438 save percentage and 12.61 goals-against average.

Katie Rowan is in her third season at the helm of the Albany program. She is a Syracuse alumna and is number one on many Syracuse women's lacrosse record lists, including points with 396 and assists with 164. Her 164 career assists is 26 more than Michelle Tumolo, who is second.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game marks the 13th all-time meeting between the two squads. The Orange have won all 12 previous meetings, including last season's contest in the Dome, 19-7. Eleven different Syracuse players scored in that game, including Morgan Alexander, Mary Rahal and Meaghan Tyrrell, who had two goals each.
