SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Coming off three straight victories against top-10 opponents, Syracuse women's lacrosse faces another tough challenge when it battles No. 4 Notre Dame on Thursday, March 11 and Sunday, March 14 in the Carrier Dome. The Orange and Fighting Irish feature two of the top defenses in the nation as neither has allowed more than six goals in a game this season.

Opening draw for Thursday is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be televised on ACC Network Extra and broadcast on WJPZ 89.1 FM in the Syracuse area. Live updates will also be available on Twitter (@CuseWLax.)

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (3-0) had another dominant performance the last time out as it defeated then No. 10 Duke, 15-5. Junior Meaghan Tyrrell had five goals and two assists, while freshman Emma Ward notched four goals. Goalkeeper Asa Goldstock finished with a career-high 17 saves.

The 'Cuse continued its defensive dominance as it held the Blue Devils without a goal for a span of 28:13 and limited Duke to just one first-half goal.

SCOUTING THE IRISH
Notre Dame comes into the contest, which will be its ACC opener, with a 2-0 record. The Fighting Irish are coming off a 16-2 victory against Robert Morris.

Graduate student Samantha Lynch leads the team with nine goals and 11 points, while graduate student Jessi Masinko and sophomore Madison Ahern have each dished out a team-best four assists.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse leads the all-time series against Notre Dame, 18-8. In 2019, the Orange defeated Notre Dame 10-9. Syracuse scored the final four goals of the game to overcome a three-goal deficit.

The Orange battle Notre Dame again on Sunday, March 14 in a game that will be broadcast on ACC Network. Syracuse will then have almost two weeks off before returning to action against Virginia Tech March 27.
