
Orange Wrap Up XC Campaign at NCAA Championships

The Syracuse cross country team wrapped up a season like no other on Monday at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Joe Dragon led the 'Cuse men crossing the 10k line in 28:30.6 across the 10k course in Stillwater. He was 130th overall. Matthew Scrape (28:58.6), Dominic Hockenbury (32:37.9), Silas Derfel (32:52.6) and Nathan Henderson (32:57.8) were the other 'Cuse scorers. The Orange finished 30th as a team. Northern Arizona won the team title.
It was the 12th-straight NCAA Championship appearance for the SU men.
Amanda Vestri finished 71st overall, crossing the line in 21:17.9. Vestri, who won the ACC 5000-meters championship earlier this month, was representing Syracuse as an individual.
Syracuse will now turn its attention to outdoor track, which will start later this month.
