SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse men's soccer battles No. 15 North Carolina on Saturday March 20 at the SU Soccer Stadium. The match marks the Orange's return to their home pitch for the first time since October 16.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (1-6-3) lost to Louisville last Friday, 3-1. Syracuse's goal came on a penalty kick by senior Simon Triantafillou. It marked the second time in the last three games that Triantafillou has scored on a PK. Both were earned when freshman Deandre Kerr was taken down in the box.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
Saturday's match against Syracuse is North Carolina's fourth match of the spring season. Including the matches played last fall, the Tar Heels are 5-3-2 overall. North Carolina comes off back-to-back wins against Pittsburgh and Virginia. The Tar Heels are 2-1 in the Spring season, including 2-0 in league play to claim first place in the Coastal Division.

Senior Giovanni Montesdeoca is North Carolina's offensive leader with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Santiago Montesdeoca is the only other Tar Heel with multiple goals with two.

Carlos Somoano is in his 10th season at the helm of the UNC program. He ranks second in the nation in winning percentage among active Division I head coaches.
