ALBANY, N.Y. – No. 3/3 Syracuse lo looks to win its third game in a row when it travels east across I-90 to face UAlbany on Tuesday, April 13 at John Fallon Field. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
With under nine minutes to play, Syracuse (8-1) used a 6-0 scoring run to overcome a three-goal deficit and beat No. 6/7 Virginia, 15-12, on Saturday in the Carrier Dome. Meaghan Tyrrell matched her career high with a team-best five goals and led the Orange with six points. Megan Carney added four goals and an assist.

Tyrrell converted five-of-eight shots for goals on Saturday, giving her the best shooting percentage (.625) among Syracuse players with four-or-more shots. The performance improved her shooting percentage this season to .635, good for fourth in the conference and 13th in the nation. Additionally, Tyrrell ranks second in the ACC in points per game (5.56), third in goals per game (3.67), and fifth in assists per game (1.89).

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany comes into Tuesday's contest on a three-game winning streak, earning victories against Vermont, Hartford, and UMBC by double-digit margins. The Great Danes own an 8-4 overall record and a 5-1 mark in conference play.

Freshman midfielder and Baldwinsville, N.Y. native Katie Pascale leads UAlbany in both points (45) and assists (20). She leads all Division I freshmen in points per game (3.75) and ranks second among the nation's newcomers in assists per contest (1.67). Her mother, Charie (Crouse), played on the women's basketball team at Syracuse from 1988-92. Senior midfielder Kyla Zapolski leads the team with 37 goals, good for second in the America East.

Katie Rowan Thomson is in her third season as head coach in Albany. She owns a 22-13 record while leading the Great Danes. Rowan played for the Syracuse women's lacrosse team from 2006-09. She recorded the most points (396) and assists (164) in program history.

THE SERIES
Tuesday's game will be the 14th all-time meeting between Syracuse and UAlbany. The Orange have won each of the previous 13 contests between the schools. The teams last met at the Carrier Dome in 2020, when Syracuse led 8-0 at halftime and went on to win by a score of 15-3.
