SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 3/3 Syracuse looks to continue its winning ways when it closes out the regular season with a weekend doubleheader against No. 4/4 Boston College on Thursday, April 22 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 24 at noon.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (11-1, 7-1 ACC) swept a pair of matches at Louisville last weekend to extend its winning streak to five straight games. In Friday's contest, juniors Meghan Tyrrell and Megan Carney put the Orange offense on their backs, scoring seven goals and three assists apiece en route to a 19-5 victory.

With their performances, Tyrrell and Carney etched their names in the Syracuse record books by tying for the fourth-most points (10) in a single game and tying for the second-most goals in a single game. The duo also set a record for the most points (20) and goals (14) between two Syracuse players in a contest.

Sunday's showing saw another offensive explosion as the Orange claimed victory by a score of 19-7. Carney and freshman Emma Ward tied for the team-lead with four goals apiece while Tyrrell tallied a career-high five assists.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College has won its last eight games and swept a doubleheader against No. 5/6 Notre Dame, defeating the Fighting Irish 19-11 last Thursday and 18-12 on Saturday. BC owns an 11-1 overall record and a 7-1 mark in ACC play. The only setback suffered by the Eagles this season came at Chapel Hill on March 6, when they lost to North Carolina, 21-9.

Senior attack Charlotte North leads Boston College in both points (65) and goals (57). She averages the most goals per game (4.75) in the ACC, good for third in the nation. North also excels in the circle, as she secures 9.17 draw controls per contest, second-best in the conference and sixth-best in the country. In addition to North, junior attack Jenn Medjid (36) and freshman midfield Belle Smith (30) both own goal totals that exceed 30.

Acacia Walker-Weinstein is in her ninth year at the helm in Chestnut Hill. She owns a 128-42 record while guiding the Eagles.

The Orange have a 15-6 advantage in the all-time series against the Eagles. However, Boston College claimed the last meeting with a narrow 14-13 victory in the ACC Tournament on April 26, 2019.
