The 2021 Syracuse cross country season gets underway on Saturday at the Harry Lang Invitational, headlining a return to a normal racing schedule.
The Orange head to many of its traditional meets for its 2021 slate, opening at Colgate on Saturday, before heading to Penn State for the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday, Sept. 10.
'Cuse closes its September slate at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Sept. 24.
The team will then split for a pair of meets on Oct. 15. The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational has traditionally been where the Orange have faced a large number of the nation's top teams for the first time on the year. The men's team has won the hotly contested meet on three occasions (2015, 2014 and 2009), while the 'Cuse women won it once in 2010.
Some members of the 'Cuse squad will return to Penn State that same weekend, racing in the PSU National Open.
The regular season closes a week later at the John Reif Memorial, hosted by Cornell.
On Oct. 29, Syracuse will compete for an ACC title. The 'Cuse men have won six of the eight championships contested since the team joined the league in 2013. This year's meet will be at Notre Dame.
The NCAA Northeast Regional will come on Friday, Nov. 12 in Boston before the NCAA Championship races in Tallahassee the following week.
