Orange Earn 3 ACC Weekly Honors

Following a strong performance at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday, three 'Cuse runners took home ACC Performer of the Week honors.
Joe Dragon earned co-Men's Performer of the Week after being the first to finish the 5.2-mile race with a time of 25:11.8. His performance on Friday helped the Orange secure second place at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational. Dragon shares the honor with Virginia Tech's Antonio Lopez Segura, who won the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational.
Amanda Vestri, the other top finisher at the Harry Groves Invitational, was awarded Women's Performer of the Week. She crossed the line with a time of 20:15.5 and earned the individual victory.
Freshman Sydney Nowicki won ACC Women's Freshman of the Week. At the Harry Groves Invitational, Nowicki finished the 6k race with a time of 22:15.9. The efforts of Vestri and Nowicki helped Syracuse take home fourth at the meet as a team.
The Orange are back in action on Sept. 24 at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
