As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host Duke in the Carrier Dome on Sunday, Jan. 9 (2 p.m., Regional Sports Networks), we continue our Q&A series to help you get to know your Orange! In this edition we talk with sophomore Priscilla Williams.Â
1. What is your favorite part about growing up in a big family with a lot of siblings?Â
My favorite thing about growing up in a big family is that there is never a dull moment. There's always something going on in the house, always excitement, and we are all athletes so it's a very competitive household. My siblings are my best friends so you have automatic built-in best friends, too.Â
2. What are the things you are looking to improve on from last season?Â
I'm definitely looking to improve my 3-point shot more because you can never be satisfied as a shooter and also to work to develop my pull up game.
3. What was the biggest difference you noticed making the transition from school to the college game?Â
The biggest difference was definitely the pace of the game and realizing that everybody can play basketball. Every possession matters and time management is everything.
4. Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?Â
I honestly don't have a favorite professional athlete but I do have a couple that I do enjoy watching. It would probably be Steph Curry ,Kyrie Irving and LeBron James. I enjoy watching them just because they bring a different type of game and I love how they always strive to be the best.
5. If you could be best friends with a celebrity who would it be and why?Â
If I could be best friends with an celebrity it would probably be Michael Jordan. I chose him because he changed the game of basketball so much, has such a big influence over a lot of people with his brand, and really his whole life.
6. What is the first song on your pre-game playlist?Â
My pregame playlist really depends on what type of music I wanna listen to. But I like to be hyped up so I'll either play some NBA Young Boy, Lil Baby, Lil Durk and some other artists.
7. What is the most important lesson you have learned through basketball?Â
The most important lesson I have learned through basketball is that it does not last forever. You never know what will happen so you wanna play every game like it's your last, take every chance and never leave with any regrets.
8. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?Â
If I can live anywhere in the world it would probably be Dubai because it's a really pretty place and it seems like you could live your best life out there.
9. Who is the funniest person on the team?Â
There's a couple really funny people on our team but I would have to say Naje Murray.
10. Do prefer to dress up or keep it comfortable and casual?Â
Honestly, depends on my mood is but for the most part I like to be comfortable. But I'll pop out and dress up when I need to.
