
#11 Duke Takes Rubber Game of Series

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- Syracuse (21-20 overall, 4-15Â ACC) lost in the final game of the series 6-0 to #11 Duke (36-7 overall, 16-3 ACC).Â
Lindsey Hendrix started on the mound for the Orange. Ariana Adams, Kaia Oliver, and Summer Clark also contributed in the circle throughout the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Neither teams were able to produce a run in the first inning. The Blue Devils got on the board in the top of the second inning scoring three runs, only one of them earned. The runs came from a set of bunts and a two-run home run.
The next three innings were quiet for both teams. Duke extended its lead to 6-0 in the top of the sixth, stringing together 4 hits and three runs. Only one of the runs given up by Oliver in the circle was earned.Â
The Orange offense were unable to create opportunities against either Duke pitcher, Peyton St. George or Claire Davidson.Â

The Orange travel to Niagara on Wednesday, April 27 for a midweek, nonconference double header. The games are set to begin at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.Â
