Orange Host Niagara in Single Game

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse (21-20 overall, 4-15 ACC) hosts Niagara (12-19 overall, 6-6 MAAC) on Thursday for a single game. First pitch will be at 6:00 pm. at SU Softball Stadium.

ORANGE UPDATE

The Orange upset #11 Duke in the second game of the series last weekend, shutting out the top-ranked offenses in the ACC.
Orange pitchers held Duke to four hits and no runs in the second game.
Four Orange players recorded a hit in the final game of the series, including Angel Jasso, Geana Torres, Rebecca Clyde, and Carli Campbell.
Jasso wrapped up a successful weekend recording her 14^th double and 42^nd hit of the season. She leads the Orange offense in batting average with .364.

THE OPPONENT
Syracuse and Niagara meet for the 22^nd time this week with the Orange leading the series 20-1. This will be the first matchup between the two since the 2019 season where Syracuse claimed both victories in the doubleheader. The Purple Eagles are ranked seventh in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

UP NEXT
The Orange have an off weekend before rounding out ACC play next weekend when they host North Carolina in a weekend series from May 6 to May 8. After the game on Saturday, May 7, the Orange will honor the seniors in a ceremony.
