Orange Sweep ACC Honors

After a sweep of the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational, the Syracuse cross country squads added another sweep of the ACC weekly Awards.
Nathan Henderson and Savannah Roark – who each claimed individual victories at the event – were the male and female performer of the week, while Assaf Harari and Beatriz Fernandes won ACC Rookie of the Week honors for their collegiate debut performances.
Henderson won the event and led nine of his teammates to finish inside the top-11. Henderson finished the 5.2 mile race in 25:06.3.
Roark won the women's race in 20:58.8, in what was her first collegiate victory. She crossed the line in 20:58.8, as 'Cuse swept the top-three spots.
Harari too sixth in his SU debut. He crossed the line in 15:19.5 and was the Orange's fourth scorer.
Fernandes took 10th in the women's race in 21:32.0.
'Cuse is back in action next weekend at a pair of meets on Sept. 23 and 24. Some members of the squad will take on the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday, while others will race at Oklahoma State's Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday.
