
Both Cross Country Teams Vault Inside Top-15

The Syracuse cross country teams both vaulted into the top-15 of the national polls on Tuesday after strong performances at the Cowboy Jamboree at Oklahoma State.
The Orange are one-of-six schools to have both its men's and women's programs represented in the top-15 of this week's USTFCCCAÂ poll.
The Syracuse men cracked the top-10 for the first time since 2018, coming in right at No. 10, and the women's ranking of No. 14 is their highest since week four of the 2014 season.
Both squads finished in the top-eight at the Cowboy Jamboree. The women finished sixth, bested by five ranked programs and took down seven other ranked squads. The men took eighth, being bested by seven teams that came in ranked in the top-nine of the poll and ahead of eight other ranked programs.
Five Orange teams are currently ranked. In addition to the cross country teams, football is No. 25 in the AFCA Coaches Poll, field hockey is No. 13 in the NFHCA Poll, and men's soccer was No. 3 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Association.
Next up, Syracuse will race at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 14.
