Fernandes Takes Second ACC Rookie Honor

Freshman star Beatriz Fernandes was named ACC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, after she took 72nd at the Cowboy Jamboree.

Fernandes helped the 'Cuse women take sixth at the meet, vaulting them to their highest ranking in eight years.

Fernandes was Syracuse's sixth finisher, crossing the line in 21:32.8.

'Cuse returns to action on Oct. 14 at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
