As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host No. 7 Notre Dame at the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, Jan. 15 for Doggy Day, (2 p.m., ACC Network), we continue our Q&A series to help you get to know your Orange! In this edition we talk with sophomore Saniaa Wilson.
What was the biggest factor for you in deciding to transfer to Syracuse?
SW: Coach Jack was a big factor for me transferring to Syracuse. I couldn't leave a coach like her.Â

What is it like competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference night in and night out?
SW: It's competitive and I love it. The ACC challenges you ihn various aspects, physically, mentally, skillset, etc. You just have to compete every single play.

What is one word you would use to describe Coach Jack?
SW: One word to describe Coach Jack is driven.
Â
Who inspired you to play basketball?
SW: My parents inspired me to play basketball. They just threw me out there and it grew on me.

What is your favorite movie? What about book?
SW: My favorite movie is Love and Basketball and my favorite book is The Girl Who Fell From the Sky

If you could play any WNBA player one-on-one, who would it be and why?
SW: A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces). I watched her whole career at South Carolina and when she went pro she continued her dominance. I think playing against her would be a learning experience.

What is your favorite place on campus?
SW: My favorite place on campus is the Schine Student Center because I take the best naps in there between my classes.

Do you have a favorite pregame meal? What is it?
SW: My favorite pregame meal is going to be salad. I get it EVERY time.Â

If you could be any superhero, who would you be?
SW: If I could be any superhero I'd be Professor Xavier.

What are your goals for the season both personal and for the team?
SW: My personal goals would be to continue to get better every day and as a team to continue to come together and play our game.
