The Syracuse men's cross country team moved into the top-five of the USTFCCCA rankings on Tuesday, occupying the No. 4 spot for its highest ranking since the final regular season poll of the 2017 season.
The Orange women remained in the top-30, checking in at No. 29 this week.
The SU men are now the highest ranked program in the ACC, which boasts five teams in the top-20, the most of any league, with just 10 days remaining before the conference championship. 'Cuse is coming off a third-place finish at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, which featured the most competitive national field of any meet this season to date.
The Orange moved up two spots in the poll after their performance, with the top-three (Northern Arizona, Oklahoma State and BYU) remaining unchanged. Harvard also climbed into the top-10 this week, checking in at No. 7, setting up a competitive race at the NCAA northeast Regional in a month's time.
The Syracuse women fell three spots in this week's poll after taking 20th at Wisconsin. The Orange rank fourth among ACC squads and second among teams in the Northeast Region.
'Cuse will close the regular season on Friday at the John Reif Memorial, hosted by Cornell, before travelling to Tallahassee, Florida next week for the conference meet.
