Orange Head West to South Point Shootout

The Syracuse women's basketball team will spend Thanksgiving weekend at the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, Nev. The Orange (3-1) look to bounce back from an 83-81 road loss at #20 Maryland last Sunday. 'Cuse is slated for two games in the Sin City, both will be played at the South Point Arena at the South Point Casino and Hotel.
First up for the Orange is a Northern Iowa (1-2) for just the second meeting in program history. The two teams will face off at 11 a.m. (2 p.m. ET) on Friday, Nov. 24. Fans can watch the game live on FloHoops or follow live stats.
Following Friday's game against UNI, the Orange will play Iowa State (2-1) at 11 a.m. (2 p.m. ET) on Saturday, Nov. 25. Syracuse and Iowa State last met on March 18, 2017, in the NCAA Tournament in the first round when 'Cuse earned an 85-65 win.
Syracuse's Dyaisha Fair has scored in double figures in 37-straight games while Georgia Woolley made her season debut with a 21-point performance against Maryland last weekend. The Orange are averaging 84.3 points per game and are outscoring opponents by an average of 28.3 ppg. As a unit, the Syracuse is shooting 48.3 percent from the field and is grabbing 45.0 rebounds per game.
This is SU's second appearance in the South Point Shootout. Syracuse went 2-0 in 2015 defeating Washington (66-62) and Fordham (76-54). Â
