The Orange enter Wednesday's contest with a 7-0 record, while the Greyhounds are 5-1.

ORANGE UPDATE
Wednesday's game is the second of four straight for the Orange against teams ranked in the top 20. Two of those games will be against squads ranked in this week's top 10.

The latest Division I statistics show Syracuse atop several categories. The Orange rank first in points per game (28.71), assists per game (11.29), shooting percentage (.542) and winning percentage (1.000). Syracuse is also second in scoring margin (9.29) and third in scoring offense (17.43).

Senior Delaney Sweitzer ranks in the top five in a pair of statistical categories in the latest Division I rankings. She is second in the nation in save percentage (.584) and fourth in goals-against average (7.30).

Sweitzer and the 'Cuse defense have held their last four opponents to less than 10 goals. In those four games, Syracuse gave up one goal or less in 12 of 16 quarters. The Orange rank 11th in the nation in scoring defense (8.14).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Loyola is coming off a 14-11 loss to No. 10 Florida, which snapped the Greyhounds' five-game winning streak to start the season.

Sydni Black leads a balanced Loyola offense. She leads the team in points (27) and goals (15) and is tied for the top spot in assists (12). Jillian Wilson has 51 draw controls this season, helping the Greyhounds rank first in the nation in draw control percentage (.675) and sixth in draw controls per game (17.33).

Lauren Spence has started six games in goal for Loyola. She has an 8.61 goals-against average and a .495 save percentage.

Syracuse and Loyola will meet for the 24th time when they take the field on Wednesday. The Orange lead the all-time series, 18-5.

The Greyhounds visited the JMA Wireless Dome last season. Syracuse led, 14-9, with 13:11 remaining before Loyola scored four unanswered to get within one. The Greyhounds had a chance to tie the game, but lost the ball and Tessa Queri picked up the ground ball to secure the 'Cuse win.
