LOUISVILLE, Ky. – – No. 1 Syracuse women's lacrosse looks to remain unbeaten as it goes on the road to face Louisville on Saturday, March 25 at noon.

The Orange enter the contest with an 11-0 record, including a 4-0 mark in league play, while the Cardinals are 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the ACC.

ORANGE NOTES
Saturday's game will be the second time the Orange will take the field as the number one team in the nation, after defeating No. 6 Stony Brook on Wednesday, 16-11.

Syracuse leads the ACC this season in goals per game (16.33), points per game (26.00), and ground balls per game (16.91), and leads the NCAA overall in assists per game (9.8). The Orange are also second in overall in the NCAA in both shooting percentage (.531) and scoring margin (8.18).

Last time out, junior Emma Ward tied her career high in assists with seven, while Megan Carney scored a season-high six goals. In addition, Olivia Adamson, making her third start in the draw circle, recorded a career-best 12 draw controls.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville, which received votes in this week's ILWomen/IWLCA rankings, is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The Cardinals' last win was a 12-9 victory against Pittsburgh.

Nicole Perroni leads the Louisville offense with 28 points on 25 goals and three assists. Kokoro Nakazawa has dished out a team-best eight assists. Sara Addeche has started all nine games in goal for the Cardinals. She has an 11.04 goals-against average and a .460 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Louisville will meet for the 13th time. Â The Orange lead the all-time series, 11-1. The Cardinals lone win came in Louisville in 2017.

Last season's meeting took place at nearby Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse. A tight first half ended with Syracuse leading, 8-7. Meaghan Tyrrell scored three goals in the opening half, including the go-ahead goal with 1:06 to go in the second quarter.

Louisville opened the scoring after intermission to again tie the score at 8-8 before Emily Hawryschuk netted back-to-back goals to spark the Orange on a 13-1 scoring run. Hawryschuk's fifth goal of the day with 1:50 remaining gave Syracuse the 23-13 victory.
