SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 1 Syracuse returns to ACC action when it hosts No. 11 Virginia on Saturday, April 1 in the JMA Wireless Dome. Opening draw is set for 6 p.m. The Orange are celebrating Senior Day and will honor their senior class during a pregame ceremony.

Tickets for the game are available at Cuse.com/tickets. Tickets purchased before Saturday are available online for $5. Fans can also watch the game on ACCNX and listen to the broadcast on WJPZ 89.1FM.

Syracuse enters the contest with a 12-0 record, including a 5-0 mark in ACC play. The Cavaliers are tied for third in the league standings with a 4-1 record. Overall, Virginia is 8-3.

Syracuse has won 12 straight games for its sixth double-digit winning streak in program history and longest since 2013 (13 games).

The Orange lead the nation in assists (9.83 apg.) and shooting percentage (.524). Syracuse is also third in scoring offense (16.58), points per game (26.42) and scoring margin (.8.00). 'Cuse is seventh in save percentage (.516) and ninth in scoring defense (8.58).

Seven members of the Orange were named to Inside Lacrosse's Mid-Season All-America Teams. Meaghan Tyrrell and Delaney Sweitzer were named to the first team, while Megan Carney, Sierra Cockerille and Katie Goodale were second-team selections. Emma Ward earned third-team honors, and Emma Tyrrell was an honorable mention selection.

SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
Virginia is coming off a 16-13 victory against Notre Dame last Saturday, which gave the Cavaliers two wins in their last three contests.

Rachel Clark and Ashlyn McGovern lead the Virginia offense with 44 points each. McGovern has a team-high 41 goals, while Morgan Schwab has dished out a squad-best 27 assists. Ashley Vernon has started 10 games in goal for the Cavaliers. She has an 11.96 goals-against average and a .398 save percentage.

Syracuse and Virginia will meet for the 29th time when they take the field on Saturday. The Cavaliers hold a slight lead in the all-time series, having won 15 of the previous 23 meetings.

The squads met twice last season. Syracuse defeated Virginia, 17-11, in Charlottesville during the regular season. The second meeting took place in the ACC Tournament in South Bend.
A tight first quarter ended with the Orange leading, 6-5, but Virginia came back in the second and held a 9-8 advantage at halftime.Â

Back-to-back goals by Meaghan Tyrrell and Carney gave Syracuse an 11-10 advantage before the Cavaliers scored five unanswered goals to take the lead for good. The squads traded goals the rest of the way as Virginia posted an 18-14 win.
